About The Collection

THE U.P. EDIT, FESTIVE EDITION by The Raw India celebrates the rich heritage of Uttar Pradesh through a festive lens. Inspired by the region’s crafts, landscapes and stories, the collection reimagines traditional paisley and floral motifs with Zari and Zardozi embroidery, Golden Khadi block printing, and the Saras crane butta inspired by Uttar Pradesh’s state bird.

The Ganga returns in deeper, dusk-inspired hues, with subtle gradients, Mukaish and Badla work evoking shimmering reflections on water and star-filled skies. Extending the festive narrative into winter, the collection introduces denim layered with Chintz-inspired floral prints, drawing from vintage textile traditions and reinterpreting them for today.

Bringing together Zari, Zardozi, Golden Khadi block printing, Mukaish, Badla and Chintz-inspired denim, the collection creates a dialogue between heritage and contemporary design. THE U.P.
